Chocolate Fudge

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 Tbs. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar

Mix the sugar and cocoa in a saucepan. Still in the butter, milk, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil. Boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and nuts immediately. Adding one cup at a time, stir in confectioners sugar. Turn the mixture into an ungreased 9”x9”x2” baking dish. and put the fudge mixture into place. Cool. Cut into squares.
