Grandma Bauer's
Steak in a Casserole (Brassiola)

Pound steak thin and cut into 2" strips. Sprinkle with flour, salt, and pepper. Roll up each strip and secure with a tooth pick. Brown in hot fat in a skillet. Remove and place in a casserole. Make a gravy with drippings, flour, and tomato juice cocktail (spicier than plain tomato juice - Grandma Bauer canned her own). Pour the gravy over the rollups. Bake in a slow over (250°F) for 2 hours until tender.
